If you've read reviews of similar refrigerator bottles, you know about leaking. I'm glad to say that I've not had this problem with this product... after I reinstalled the spout with the gaskets going in the correct direction (they both curve into the plastic, not out). If you make this mistake, it will leak. I expect I'll need to tighten the nuts in a few months as the gaskets settle.The plastic is the same tough stuff that five gallon bottles of water are delivered in. The spout also appears to be the same as on a commercial water cooler. The construction is high quality as you would expect for the price. The large lid allows for easy cleaning except through the narrow handle.It does have the small annoyances of similar water bottles. You do have to open the lid slightly to let air in for proper water flow, but a tight lid lets you fill it and carry it around with the handle. The bottom isn't sloped so the flow will decrease as it gets empty and you'll never be able to get the last tablespoons of water out through the spout.SIX MONTHS LATER... still no leakage or no signs of any problems at all. I haven't even had to tighten the nuts on the gasket. If any simple water bottle deserves five stars, this one does.ALMOST TWO YEARS LATER... still no problems and I never had to tighten anything. This thing is fantastic for camping trips where you can never have enough fresh water with you. The strong construction and the tight lid makes sure there's no leaking after you throw them around.ALMOST FIVE YEARS LATER... I was filling it up last night and realized this is one of the best things I've ever bought. Yes, a plastic water bottle. Since this purchase I've bought two high definition televisions, several computers, two tablets, three smart phones, five cameras, and tons of stuff that doesn't work as well as this. I will probably include it specifically in my will.
