Nalgene Wide Mouth Water Bottle 32oz BPA-Free Tritan Plastic - Leak Proof & Durable for Hiking, Camping, Gym & Everyday Use

Many outdoors brands have started making lower quality products as their products have become more popular for everyday use. I have used nalgenes while hiking my entire life, and started using one as my daily water bottle about a decade ago. I just got the "Surfer" blue edition—a big change for me, a longtime user of the Regular Blue edition. I appreciate that you can pour boiling water directly into these without fear of melting (I have not tested this on my brand new one, and will update this review if it fails the test). The durability of these things is unrivaled. They do not get worn out or break from regular wear and tear. I have only had to replace them due to reckless behavior on my part, whereas other water bottles eventually become leaky or crack due to routine falls on surfaces like hardwood or dirt. In my whole life I have broken 2. The first was in 2015 while backpacking in Maine, when I was trying to use it as a weight to sling a rope over a high tree branch so I could hoist our food out of the bears' reach for the night. This had gone fine many times before! But this time the nalgene collided directly with a big rock on the ground. So I wouldn't recommend them for that specific purpose. The second time I broke a nalgene was about a week ago. It's 2022 so this nalgene is 7 years old now. it went flying from my open bag as I ran to catch a bus and hit the edge of the curb at a high velocity, shattering the bottom corner (pictured, left). The only features of the water bottle that I have found are affected by routine wear and tear are the bit of plastic that holds the lid to the bottle, and the volume markings. if you typically use a carabiner to attach the nalgene to a bag via the plastic strip, you can expect that to wear out and snap in around 6 years of daily use. the lid will still work fine without it. the volume markings will wear out eventually but hold up surprisingly well even if you wash it in the dishwasher frequently. the numbers/lines started to fade a bit after 4 years.This triple threat dynamo comes in many colors and lid designs to fit your individual needs. I have 7 different colors and I love them. The tops keep your cold beverage inside. The wide mouth design allows easy add ins of ice and fruit, in addition they are easy to clean. The overall value is why I will continue to purchase these awesome productsI legit went from drinking 8-10 oz per day to drinking 64+!!! Just because this bottle is so easy to drink from! The water just falls into your mouth with zero effort. It sounds silly but it’s true!I use this everyday, it keeps cold cold and hot hot. Mostly used for water while working. It seems to be holding up great after 6 months. Would recommend.Perfectly what I wanted! I got a silicone insert to prevent spills and the wide mouth makes it easy to clean. I've had it for 3-4mo now. It hasn't leaked or broken anywhere, even though I've dropped it a few times and my cat has gnawed on the plastic connecting the cap to the bottle.I’m a dietitian in need of that extra push to drink more water. This helps! It’s the old faithful bottle I had back in college 20 years ago, but still doesn’t fit in my vehicle cup holder. The good news is that when it tips over in the cat, it won’t leak! You can also hook it onto anything. Easy to clean. I have put mine in the dishwasher, and drink everything from iced coffee to water out of it.If you buy the rubber thing to put inside the top to make it easier to drink from these are perfect b/c you can stuff them full of ice no problem. You can buy replacement lids also.Dont think Id use this one for everyday use since it is too largeThis is a solidly made wide mouth bottle and at first sight I thought it would put an end to countless so called leakproof refillable containers. But I was wrong! According to the reviews Amazon is sending me all the rejects! Reviewers are proclaiming that they've put super novae and exploding fusion devices in these bottles and they haven't leaked. How come I can buy a bottle of pop and shake it up and it doesn't leak. Yet this bottle fell at the first hurdle even when the lid was screwed on by the HULK. Another waste of time and money, I suppose I could put flowers in it or buttons or something like that. I know, I could put silicone sealant in it, I bet that wouldn't leak out. I find it incomprehensible that fizzy drinks manufacturers churn out millions of bottles of pop a week and none of them so much as drip but so called leakproof refillable bottle makers don't seem to be able to make one! I give up!Pro:- Trinkflasche ist stabil, ist mir aus 1 Meter runtergefallen und nichts ist passiert.- Trinkflasche ist laut Herstellerangaben auf "AMZ" Hergestellt aus dem BPA-freien Tritan TM- Flasche hat zu keinem Zeitpunkt unangenehm gesprochen/gestunken.- passt gerade mal so in die "Standard" Getränkehalter (Laufband/Crosstrainer/Fahrradergometer) im FitnessstudioContra:- Die Trinköffnung ist viel zu groß, man kann während des normalen gehens nicht mal eben währenddessen aus der Flasche trinken, weil es wegen der großen Öffnung verschüttet. And the fact that it's a 1000ml bottle.I have used it everyday since I have bought it and I have not had any issues so far, despite other reviews stating they found the bottle a little leaky.I had a look at the bottle top and with it being plastic I think that people make have damaged the threads in some way, guessing due to lack of care when tightening the cap.This bottle is easy to clean due to the wide opening and has taken a good beating so far as it stays at the bottom of my bag which is always with me.I bought these for climbing Kilimanjaro. They are ridiculously robust having been dropped many times, leak proof and even helped to stop the water completely freezing when reaching the summit at -15 degrees! All round great bottles. My only criticism is that they should automatically come with the sippy lid that slots inside the wide drinking rim. If you are able to always be stopped whilst drinking, then it’s great, but if you want to drink whilst walking, then you will definitely need the attachment lid.I've had one of these before and broke it. That was due to my own fault and being heavy handed but as it with stood life with me for longer than most bottles, I went back for another. Word of warning do not over tighten the lid as it will leak. Same as many bottles, people think if you keep tightening it will stop. Wrong. You'll distort there lid and will be useless. A great bottle with a nice big opening but they do one with a normal neck too. Doesn't have an after taste. When this one bites the dust as all bottles do I will be back for my 3rd no hesitation.
